When J.J. Abrams is trying to revive and revise Star Trek franchise the loyal fans still do their jobs at creating their own vision of Trek future. “Phase 2″ project (former “New Voyages”) website has announced that the next installment of their web-based series, episode titled “Blood and fire”, will premiere on December 20th this year. “Blood and fire” is an adaptation of David Gerrold’s original TNG script.

In other news, “Phase 2″ announced, that Ben Tolpin had left the project and that the Spock part was handed to  one Brandon Stacy. He is not only an experienced actor, but also served as a body double for mr Quinto (Spock in Abrams ST11). Surely mr Stacy will prove a worthy addition to the great cast of James Cawley!
